ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – Sept. 27, 2023 – Visit Atlantic City and the Atlantic City Sports Commission had an eventful summer hosting over 24 events, conventions and conferences generating 24,745 room nights booked and 86,112 attendees, resulting in a total economic impact of $36,849,627. The seaside destination will keep the momentum going through the remainder of the year by hosting major events and conferences including Pizza & Pasta Northeast, Atlantic City Marathon, and Triple Play REALTOR® Convention & Trade Expo.

Q4 SPORTING EVENTS IN ATLANTIC CITY

Mr. American All American Sports Festival and Expo
The 2023 All American Sports Festival & Expo will return to Atlantic City to the Atlantic City Convention Center and the Tropicana Showroom Theater. Taking place Oct. 6-8, the entire weekend will feature strength and physique sports, including the 84th Mr. America Bodybuilding Competition held in the Showroom at the Tropicana, and 100+ health and fitness booths of the latest in sports equipment, apparel, and nutrition at the Atlantic City Convention Center. The event expects 600 attendees, 873 room nights and $702,068 in economic impact.

Atlantic City Marathon & Half Marathon
Established in 1958, the Atlantic City Marathon is the third oldest continuing marathon in the United States. The marathon course is noted for being fast and flat, including eight miles of oceanfront Boardwalk running. The races will take place on Oct. 21-22 and will feature a marathon, half marathon, 5k and 10k stretches. The event expects 2,000 attendees, 260 room nights and $444,902 in economic impact.

American Cornhole Organization Atlantic City Major & Pro Series Event
The American Cornhole Organization (ACO) Atlantic City Major & Pro Series Event is a two-day event taking place Nov. 10 - 11 at the Showboat Hotel and is among the main points-earning tournaments of the season to qualify for the World Championships. The event expects 300 attendees, 165 room nights and $146,425 in economic impact.

 

Q4 CONVENTIONS, CONFERENCES & EVENTS IN ATLANTIC CITY

Pizza & Pasta Northeast
The fifth annual Pizza & Pasta Northeast will showcase top suppliers from Northeastern pizzerias and Italian restaurants at the Atlantic City Convention Center from Oct. 1-2. The two-day show features a schedule of pizza and pasta demonstrations by top chefs, seminars and workshops given by industry leaders, and special presentations from featured keynote speakers. The event expects 5,000 attendees, 901 room nights, and $2,800,711 in economic impact.

2023 Northeast Regional Carwash Convention
The Northeast Regional Carwash Convention (NRCC) was established in 1988 by car wash operators in Connecticut and has since grown to include five car wash associations from the Northeast region. The NRCC's annual Northeast Regional Carwash Convention will take place Oct. 2-4 at the Atlantic City Convention Center and expects to attract a substantial attendance of car wash operators and exhibitors, featuring educational seminars and a large exhibit floor with over 350 booths. The convention expects 1,620 attendees, 1,024 room nights and $1,253,203 in economic impact.

FETCH COASTAL
The FETCH DNA has long been embedded in the Atlantic City Veterinary Conference (ACVC) since the acquisition of the conference and this year will be no different. Hosted by the top voices in veterinary medicine, the FETCH events will take place Oct. 9-11 at the Atlantic City Convention Center and will offer charismatically clinical continuing educational sessions tailored to help veterinary professionals solve their toughest challenges in their practice in a fun and engaging learning environment that encourages connections, collaborations, and community. The event expects 2,000 attendees, 1,550 room nights and $2,271,583 in economic impact.

Thriv
Thriv will take place Oct. 14-15 at the Atlantic City Convention Center and is a lifestyle event full of fun, a bit of adventure and relevant inspiration where people can explore new ideas, make new connections, and find information on how to make choices for the future. Visitors will experience a mix of programming and entertainment focused on ideas for spending your time traveling, pursuing new hobbies, experiencing new cultures, working in new roles and more that people will want to share with friends, family, and new connections. The event expects 5,000 attendees and $1,463,880 in economic impact.

Garden State Council-SHRM Annual Conference & Expo
The Garden State Council-SHRM Annual Conference & Expo will take place at the Atlantic City Convention Center from Oct. 15-17. Attendees can expect over 13 sessions and networking opportunities about advancing the Human Resources profession during the three-day event. The event expects 650 attendees, 479 room nights and $483,048 in economic impact.

2023 Annual NJ School Boards Workshop
From Oct. 23-26, a senior-level audience of school leaders, education professionals and influencers in New Jersey education will gather at the Atlantic City Convention Center for quality professional development, important legal, legislative, policy and funding updates, new products and services, and a celebration of public education. The event expects 8,945 attendees, 9,710 room nights and $6,527,327 in economic impact.

2023 NJEA Convention
At the 2023 NJEA Convention, teachers, educational support professionals, college students preparing to become teachers, faculty and staff from the state's community colleges, and retired educators will enjoy more than 300 professional development seminars, workshops, and programs designed to help teachers and educational support professionals hone their skills and stay current in their subject areas and chosen fields. The convention will take place from Nov. 9-10 at the Atlantic Convention Center and expects 15,000 attendees, 2,977 room nights and $7,699,905 in economic impact.

2023 New Jersey League of Municipalities (NJLM) Annual Conference
Local government officials, elected and appointed, can build their skills and their networks at a three-day event recognized for its excellence by attendees and exhibitors alike. The event will take place from Nov. 14-16 at the Atlantic City Convention Center. It expects 22,000 attendees, 8,280 room nights and $14,166,140 in economic impact.

Triple Play REALTOR® Convention & Trade Expo
The Triple Play REALTOR® Convention & Trade Expo has attracted thousands of REALTORS®, brokers, appraisers, and other real estate professionals to the largest real estate convention and trade show of its kind in the U.S. Participants travel from coast-to-coast and around the world to learn about the newest and most exciting developments in real estate products and services. The event will take place from Dec. 4-7 at the Atlantic City Convention Center and expects 8,255 attendees, 3,371 room nights and $6,872,726 in economic impact.

Action Expo
Action Expo brings together the top manufacturers, retailers, reps, gurus and groms in action sports and youth culture. Over 300 action sports brands and approximately 600 retail buyers are set to participate in the Expo. The event will take place from Dec. 6-7 at the Atlantic City Convention Center. It expects 200 attendees, 24 room nights and $67,980 in economic impact.

2023 Mid-Atlantic Hardscaping Trade Show (MAHTS)
The Mid-Atlantic Hardscaping Trade Show (MAHTS) is the original comprehensive Hardscape event, originating in 2001. MAHTS features both classroom and hands-on training conducted by industry experts as well as arena settings showcasing a variety of construction techniques and Hardscape materials. This year's event takes place from Dec. 6-7 at the Atlantic City Convention Center. It expects 3,000 attendees, 1,350 room nights and $2,547,949 in economic impact.

 

WHAT'S NEW IN ATLANTIC CITY

Council Oak Steaks & Seafood Launches Sunday Champagne Brunch
Council Oaks Steaks & Seafood restaurant at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City began its Sunday Champagne Brunch earlier this summer. The brunch is served every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes a carving station with its 28-day Dry Aged Striploin Steak, plus an Ice Sculpture Raw Bar featuring the day's best oysters, jumbo prawns, clams, and individual tuna tartare.

Atlantic City Restaurant Week Returns
Atlantic City Restaurant Week returns for its 15th year from Oct. 1-6. The six-day celebration showcases the Atlantic City culinary scene where participating restaurants offer a multi-course meal for a fixed price. Featured restaurants include American Bar & Grille at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, Ossu Japanese Taverne at Tropicana Atlantic City and Capriccio at Resorts Casino Hotel.

Atlantic City Pier to be Transformed into ACX1 Movie Studio
The former Playground Pier, across from Caesars Atlantic City on the Boardwalk, is being transformed into ACX1 Studios, which will reimagine the pier by turning its vacant storefronts, restaurants, bars, and other businesses into 150 television and media productions sets. In addition, the studio will have dedicated creative spaces, like a movie or art studio, rehearsal spaces and teaching spaces, helping to turn Atlantic City into the new Hollywood.
