Join us October 1st - 6th for AC Restaurant Week, a 6-day celebration of the culinary scene in Atlantic City. During Restaurant Week, participating restaurants offer a multi-course meal for a fixed price (not including tax or gratuity). Enjoy a delicious lunch for $20.23 or an amazing dinner for $40.23 all with 3 courses including an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. Over 55 restaurants to choose from! And although restaurant week officially ends October 6th, nearly 30 of the participating restaurants extended their menus from October 8th - 13th!
Absecon Lighthouse will be a participant in the Lighthouse Challenge of New Jersey an annual event that takes place the third weekend of October each year. The challenge is to visit 10 land based lighthouses, 3 lifesaving stations, 1 museum, and 1 virtual site over the two day weekend. The challenge route covers the Atlantic Coast from Sandy Hook to Cape May and the Delaware Bay and River Coast from Cape May to Paulsboro. A small registration fee enables you to collect a souvenir from each site. Take the challenge and learn more about these historic treasures of New Jersey. Established in 1958, the Atlantic City Marathon is the third oldest continuing marathon in the United States and its happening October 21 & 22, 2023! The race takes runners on a tour of Absecon Island, the Atlantic City Marathon & Half Marathon cover ground in the cities of Atlantic City, Ventnor, Margate and Longport. From Boardwalk Casinos to the Marina District and sleepy beach towns, the course offers something for every runner. Runner may choose from the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K or 5K.
Chalk About AC will take place at O'Donnell Memorial Park on Saturday, October 7th from 11 am–3 pm. There will also be a Color Fun Run at noon, hosted in partnership with Atlantic City Marathon. All participants will receive chalk packets and a t-shirt and are invited to stay for Chelsea EDC's Empanada Party (2–4 pm). This event is free and all are welcome, registration is required!
