Marina District

One might think that all the action in AC happens on the Boardwalk. While that’s certainly the largest hub of activity in town, the Atlantic City Marina District is another hot spot that you shouldn’t pass up. Home to casino resorts such as Harrah’s, Golden Nugget (formerly Trump Marina) and the Borgata, as well as the boutique Water Club hotel–often touted as one of the most luxurious hotels in town.

The dining in the Marina District is every bit as good as the lodging. The Borgata offers a wide range of dining options, from the fantastic Bobby Flay Steak to the irresistible Borgata Bake Shop and even a subterranean Italian restaurant with a superb wine list. Other culinary highlights in the area include the Chart House’s upscale seafood, and even a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream parlor.

If it’s entertainment you seek, the Marina District is perfect for a night on the town or a day out with the kids.

If you’re with the family, spend an afternoon watching wildlife at the Atlantic City Aquarium. Or you can stroll the AC Waterfront Sculpture Walk, a 1.1-mile trail that connects the Borgata, Golden Nugget and Harrah’s casino resorts. Along the way, you’ll find manicured gardens and a spectacular works of art by sculptors who live or work in the area. It’s the Marina District’s own miniature version of the world-famous Atlantic City Boardwalk. This walkway is well-known for superb sunset views. Kids will also love the Brigantine Boulevard Playground south of the Borgata and Golden Nugget.

For adults-only fun, check out the town’s hottest nightclubs: Haven at Golden Nugget; the Pool After Dark at Harrah’s; or the new Premier Nightclub at Borgata which debuted spring 2016. If you just want to grab a drink the Eden Lounge, Gypsy Bar, or the 24/7 Rush Lounge fit the bill depending on where you’re staying.

Need one more reason to visit the Atlantic City Marina District? How about accessibility? This area is right off the Atlantic City Expressway and Route 30 so you don’t have to drive through town. Less driving time means more fun!

Next time you’re in AC, be sure to check out the vibrant Marina District for a new view of Atlantic City!
