Entertainment

With more than 1,000 DJ sets, 84 headliner concerts, two beach dance events, numerous beach bars for day life and nightlife, Atlantic City declares itself the Entertainment Capital of the Jersey Shore.

From headliners like Madonna in an arena setting at Boardwalk Hall, to an intimate set list with Bob Dylan in the Music Box at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, to a cover band on the beach at Landshark Bar & Grill at Resorts Casino Hotel – Atlantic City has more headliners, a larger variety of entertainment options, the most hotels rooms, gaming and 24/7 summer parties in comparison to any shore destination from New York to Maryland.

And with price points to meet any budget you can see an up and-coming comedian for around $20 or splurge on big names like Jerry Seinfeld, Wanda Sykes or D. L. Hughley.

15th Annual Atlantic City Indoor Auto Races
Friday night’s program will once again include the fan favorite, four 20 lap events for the TQ Midgets. Twenty cars will start each race, and the fastest driver from time trials will start in the seventh place in each race. At stake in these races will be eight spots in Saturday night’s prestigious 40 lap Gambler’s Classic TQ Midget feature. Drivers will have two ways to race their way into Saturday night’s main event. The four drivers that win Friday night’s events will automatically lock themselves into Saturday night’s race. In addition, the next four highest point earners from Friday will also lock themselves in Saturday’s main event.  With points being awarded based on finishing position in the races and their time trial position earlier in the day, every position will matter. The Slingshots and Sr. Champ Karts will also run qualifying events.

Saturday’s program will consist of heat races and last chance qualifiers for the TQ Midgets followed by feature events for the Slingshots and Champ Karts. The program ends with the traditional 40 lap TQ Midget feature event, where Anthony Sesely of Matawan, NJ became the first three time winner of the prestigious event.

America
Boasting three singer-songwriters and a variety of styles from folk to Beatles balladry to California pop, America dominated the AM waves for half a decade. But by 1977, co-founder Dan Peek, tiring of the rock lifestyle, became a born-again Christian and left the group. Backed by songs from noted tunesmith Russ Ballard, the group continued as a duo, scoring a hit in 1982 with Ballard's "You Can Do Magic," but never quite regained their foothold on the charts. The now-duo continued to sell, though, and has never really stopped touring; in 2007, they staged a studio comeback with Here & Now.

Brian Regan
Brian Regan is an American stand-up comedian who uses observational, sarcastic, and self-deprecating humor. His performances are relatively clean as he refrains from profanity and off-color humor. Regan's material typically covers everyday events, such as shipping a package with UPS and a visit to an optometrist. Regan makes frequent references to childhood, including little league baseball, grade school spelling bees, and science projects. Body language and facial expressions make his stand-up act atypically physical. His clean, off-center humor has been praised by critics and contemporaries alike and Regan enjoys a fan base that crosses age groups.
