Spectra by Comcast Spectacor’s Erin Bilton, the Director of Marketing for Boardwalk Hall and the Atlantic City Convention Center, is one of several nominees in Venues Today Magazine’s 2017 Generation Next Award for achievement and outstanding service as a young industry leader.  This award honors professionals under the age of 35 who make a difference in sports, music, conventions, family shows, and festivals.

Bilton, an 11-year Spectra employee, is responsible for overseeing all marketing initiatives at both the Atlantic City Convention Center and Boardwalk Hall, including advertising and public relations. She works cooperatively with the corporate partnership and operations teams to drive ticket sales and sponsorship revenue, all while building relationships throughout the local community and industry. In addition, she heads the marketing task force made up of entertainment venues, attractions, hotels, and restaurants to collaboratively promote Atlantic City in a positive light. Amongst her achievements are helping raise $20,000 for local nonprofits through the venue’s annual ‘Deck the Hall-Festival of Trees’ event.

“This is a well-deserved honor for Erin,” said Chris Howard, Executive Director of the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA), owners of Boardwalk Hall and the Atlantic City Convention Center . “She continues to create new initiatives that bring positive focus to Atlantic City, furthering our collective efforts to attract new visitors and ensure they enjoy their stay.  We’re proud of her work here in Atlantic City and happy to see her recognized for her accomplishments.”

Bilton also serves as a Division Marketing Director, overseeing efforts of more than 30 Spectra Venue Management and Food Service & Hospitality properties in the Northeast region of the United States.  Bilton’s focus is on creating innovative campaigns that drive food and beverage sales in these markets; enhancing the customer experience through contests and promotions and developing her staff to further their career in the sports and entertainment industry. To date, Bilton has successfully mentored 10 individuals into their current positions at Spectra.

“Erin is an outstanding leader among our many marketers at Spectra,” said Tim Murphy, Regional Vice President, Spectra Venue Management and Food Services & Hospitality. “While assuring that both the Atlantic City Convention Center and Boardwalk Hall remain in the spotlight in the Atlantic City region, Erin also spends time mentoring future leaders of our company and sharing her experiences so that other Spectra properties can also shine brightly in their respective markets.”
