CRDA: Free Movie Screening on the Atlantic City Beach RESCHEDULED

Karen Martin

The FREE first-run movies on the beach presented by the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority and Live Nation and scheduled for July 26th and 27th have been rescheduled to accommodate the US Army Corps of Engineers beach replenishment project.

The Lego Movie has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 5 and Moana has been rescheduled for Sunday, August 6. Both movies will run from 8:30 PM to
10:30 PM.

The movies will be shown on a large inflatable screen on the beach concert stage located on the beach at Arkansas Avenue.  Grab your family, bring a lawn chair or a blanket, relax along the water and enjoy this fun-filled evening for the entire family.

The Lego Movie
Emmet (Chris Pratt), an ordinary LEGO figurine who always follows the rules, is mistakenly identified as the Special -- an extraordinary being and the key to saving the world. He finds himself drafted into a fellowship of strangers who are on a mission to stop an evil tyrant's (Will Ferrell) plans to conquer the world. Unfortunately for Emmet, he is hopelessly -- and hilariously -- unprepared for such a task, but he'll give it his all nonetheless.

An adventurous teenager sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana meets the once-mighty demigod Maui, who guides her in her quest to become a master way-finder. Together they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds. Along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she always sought: her own identity.

About the CRDA:
The only agency of its kind nationwide, the CRDA has used Atlantic City casino reinvestments as a catalyst for meaningful, positive improvement in the lives of New Jersey residents since 1984.  Under the 2011 Tourism District Act, the Authority's mission evolved from statewide projects to becoming the state's key economic development agency for Atlantic City.  CRDA's expanded responsibilities now include land use regulation, tourism marketing and clean and safe initiatives. The CRDA also oversees Historic Boardwalk Hall (the leading entertainment venue of its size in the country) and the Atlantic City Convention Center.  In total, CRDA has invested nearly $2 billion in more than 400 projects statewide, of which $1.8 billion has been invested in Atlantic City, spurring business investments and expansions, and creating permanent jobs in the process.
