Two of the destination’s most popular events surrounding Atlantic City Restaurant Week are getting a makeover. The At The Shore Wine Tasting Art Show and the Taste of Atlantic City Restaurant Week preview event are being joined together and emerging as a new, improved event, “Art-Wine-Dine,” set to debut on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall, the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA) has announced.

According to CRDA Director of Communications and Marketing Larry Sieg, “Fans of Atlantic City Restaurant Week are in for a real treat. We are bringing together the best elements of both events and offering the Atlantic City community and visitors a chance to experience the local dining and art scenes, all while benefiting local hospitality students with scholarships and opportunities.”

Art-Wine-Dine will be held at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall amid the new Atlantic City Experience exhibit which opened last summer in the historic building’s lobby. This new event will showcase the culinary and visual arts, giving attendees a taste of what’s trending in the destination.

As in the past, the new event will feature a tasting of Atlantic City Restaurant Week samplings along with wine and spirit tastings, an opportunity to meet the artists displaying their work, a silent auction, live music and free parking.

Tickets for Art-Wine-Dine are priced at $35 in advance and can be purchased by contacting Josette Katz at (609) 516-1676, [email protected] or Doreen Prinzo at (609) 449-7156, [email protected] or online through Eventbrite, https://www.eventbrite.com/e/artwinedine-atlantic-city-tickets-80710642705. Tickets are $40 at the door.

Art-Wine-Dine is hosted by Atlantic City Restaurant Week and the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, and is sponsored by Atlantic City Weekly, Equity Communications, and the Greater Atlantic City Concierge Association. This event brings the community together to celebrate Atlantic City Restaurant Week, local artists, craft beverages (wines, beers, liquors); music and fun. All proceeds benefit students attending local colleges in the culinary and hospitality industries by way of scholarships. To date, over $107,000 in scholarships have been awarded to students through these programs.

About the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority
The only agency of its kind nationwide, the CRDA has used Atlantic City casino reinvestments as a catalyst for meaningful, positive improvement in the lives of New Jersey residents since 1984.  Under the 2011 Tourism District Act, the Authority's mission evolved from statewide projects to becoming the state's key economic development agency for Atlantic City.  CRDA's expanded responsibilities now include land use regulation, tourism marketing and clean and safe initiatives. The CRDA also oversees Historic Boardwalk Hall (the leading entertainment venue of its size in the country) and the Atlantic City Convention Center.  In total, CRDA has invested nearly $2 billion in more than 400 projects statewide, of which $1.8 billion has been invested in Atlantic City, spurring business investments and expansions, and creating permanent jobs in the process.
