Boardwalk Hall houses the largest musical instrument on earth. More powerful than a dozen orchestras, it can both whisper and thunder into the 5.5 million cubic feet of air space in the main arena. A second instrument by W. W. Kimball is also part of the Adrian Phillips Ballroom. Both of these incredible machines were included as part of the original stage equipment for the building.
Join us for a recital demonstrating the capabilities of the mighty Midmer-Losh Opus 5550, the largest instrument ever built! Recital lasts for one half-hour. Concert recitals are weekdays from May 28 through September 30 from 12:00 PM - 12:30 PM followed by a brief tour of the organ shop and organ console. Also, an in-depth Curated Tour of the pipe organ is available every Wednesday from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM with the recital following the tour.
Please note, recitals may be moved into the Adrian Phillips Theater on the W.W. Kimball organ or cancelled due to Boardwalk Hall conflicts. Please check their Facebook page
for cancellation notices before traveling.
