Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center is an arts and crafts village located in southern New Jersey, approximately 40 miles outside of Atlantic City. Originally designed to display samples of early American glass created in the area, Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center has grown to include 20 buildings on more than 60 acres. True to Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center's original mission, the Museum of American Glass features more than 6,500 objects, ranging from historic to contemporary. The Down Jersey Folklife Center hosts special events and workshops; while the General Store, Brownstone Emporium, Christmas Shop and other Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center stores invite shoppers to browse through their merchandise. Visitors may also enjoy riding on a miniature train featuring a replica of an 1863 C.P. Huntington engine.
