Exit the Pennsylvania Turnpike at Valley Forge, Exit 326, onto Schuylkill Expressway (Route 76 East) through Philadelphia to the Walt Whitman Bridge. Continue to follow signs for the Atlantic City Expressway, take Exit 5 for Downbeach communities, Tropicana and Hilton, following Route 322/40/Black Horse Pike (Exit 2 will be closed). For the rest, AC Expressway turns into N Missouri Avenue as you enter Atlantic City

 

From New York and North
Major Interstate Highways connect with the Garden State Parkway South. Follow Garden State Parkway South to Exit 40 (Absecon) and continue on Route 30/White Horse Pike to Atlantic City, or take Exit 38 (Atlantic City Expressway) and follow Atlantic City Expressway. take Exit 5 for Downbeach communities, Tropicana and Hilton, following Route 322/40/Black Horse Pike (Exit 2 will be closed). For the rest, AC Expressway turns into N Missouri Avenue as you enter Atlantic City.

From Baltimore, Washington & South
Take I-95 to the Walt Whitman Bridge (Philadelphia). Cross the Walt Whitman Bridge and follow N/S Freeway to the Atlantic City Expressway. Follow Atlantic City Expressway, take Exit 5 for Downbeach communities, Tropicana and Hilton, following Route 322/40/Black Horse Pike (Exit 2 will be closed). For the rest, AC Expressway turns into N Missouri Avenue as you enter Atlantic City.

From Norfolk, VA area
Follow Route 13 and Route 9 to Cape May-Lewes Ferry, then take Garden State Parkway North to Exit 38 (Atlantic City Expressway) into Atlantic City. Follow Atlantic City Expressway, take Exit 5 for Downbeach communities, Tropicana and Hilton, following Route 322/40/Black Horse Pike (Exit 2 will be closed). For the rest, AC Expressway turns into N Missouri Avenue as you enter Atlantic City.

 

Closest Casino Parking, Maximum $25:

Follow Route 30 to Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. Jitney, Cab or Limo to the festival options. Jitney Line on Pacific Avenue - will drop off at Albany Avenue and then walk to venue.

 

 

Follow Route 322/40/ Black Horse Pike to Atlantic City. Walk to venue.

 

ADA Parking:
Parking for attendees with disabilities will be provided within the Bader Field parking lot for those with verification of ADA vehicles. Parking is also available at either one of the Park and Ride options or Albany Avenue and the Boardwalk at the former Atlantic City High School parking area. From there, use handicapped accessible Jitney or taxi service to venue.

 

Rail Service
The NJ Transit Rail Terminal is conveniently located within the Atlantic City Convention Center and connects Atlantic City to Philadelphia at 30th Street Station and Amtrak's Northeast corridor lines. Once in Atlantic City, bus and jitney transportation options are available on Atlantic and Pacific Avenues, or walk to venue.

ACES - New York City to Atlantic City Direct Train Service ACES (Atlantic City Express Service), a light rail service between New York's Penn Station and the Atlantic City Rail Terminal. Express trains will operate Friday through Sunday. Multi-level rail cars offer passengers comfortable leather seating, private lounge, food and beverage kiosks. Bus
The Atlantic City Bus Terminal is located in the heart of the city on Michigan and Atlantic Aves. It's adjacent to The Atlantic City Outlets - The Walk and two or three blocks from casinos. Two bus lines operate out of the AC Bus Terminal: NJ Transit (800-582-5946) and Greyhound (800/231-2222). Once in Atlantic City, bus and jitney transportation options are available on Atlantic and Pacific Avenues, or walk to venue.

Air Service
Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) is an easy 20-minute drive from Atlantic City. Scheduled carriers servicing ACY include Spirit Airlines (1-800-772-7117) and AirTran (1-800-247-8726). Philadelphia International Airport is about 60 minutes away and is accessible via private or public transportation. 10 Tips to Help You Enjoy the Dave Matthews Band Caravan Weekend in Atlantic City:

1.  Plan your route and allow plenty of time.  If you are driving, plan your route accordingly. Exit 2 off the Atlantic City Expressway will be closed to traffic so those going Downbeach or to Tropicana and Hilton casinos are recommended to use Exit 5 and follow Route 322/40/Black Horse Pike into the city. Route 40/322/Black Horse Pike will have two lanes heading east into the city and one lane heading west out of the city. Route 30/White Horse Pike is also an option. Designated parking lots are conveniently located within all of the arteries. Pay attention to signage heading into the city for any road closing or traffic information. 2.  Park and leave your car. Casinos offer public parking for $20 for that weekend. City-appointed parking areas are listed on www.dmbcaravan.com and www.atlanticcitynj.com for a rate of $20. There are three Park and Rides offered: at the SJTA Intercept Lot, located on the Atlantic City Expressway just before the Welcome Center at mile marker 3.5; the Fairmount Avenue Lot located at Fairmont and Mississippi Avenues; and the Atlantic Avenue Lot located at Atlantic and Missouri Avenues. Lots will be open from 9-2 a.m., with the first shuttle departing at 11 a.m. Cost to park and ride is $20. Boardwalk Hall and the Atlantic City Convention Center ($10) also offer public parking. Tailgating at the festival is not allowed.

3.  Plan an alternate mode of transportation. NJ Transit Rail Terminal is located within the Atlantic City Convention Center and connects Atlantic City to Philadelphia at 30th Street Station and Amtrak’s Northeast corridor lines. (www.njtransit.com). Additional train cars are scheduled. ACES offers light rail service between New York’s Penn Station and the Atlantic City Rail Terminal (www.acestrain.com). 4.  See the Show. Tickets for Dave Matthews Band Caravan are available on line at www.dmbcaravan.com for $85 for single day or $325 for VIP package per day, $195 for three day or $825 for three-day VIP package, or purchase a VIP upgrade in addition to your three day for $210. Tickets will also be available for purchase onsite at Bader Field in Atlantic City for the Dave Matthews Band Caravan. Gates open at 1 p.m. and festival begins at 1:15 p.m. on Friday and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Children of all ages are welcome at the event. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult and children age 6 and under do not require a ticket.

5.  Hungry? Thirsty? Need a place to stay? For your convenience, Atlantic City has a mobile site. Just type in www.atlanticcitynj.com on your smart phone’s browser and it will automatically redirect you to the mobile site.  Don’t have a smart phone?  Dial 1-888- AC VISIT for information and help on finding a place to eat, drink, stay or more when not at the DMB Caravan festival.

6.  What to bring? Make sure to wear light cotton clothing or a similar breathable fabric, sunscreen, sunglasses, and make sure to stay hydrated with water and moderate your consumption of alcohol. Empty reusable bottles are permitted into the festival. When entering the festival become familiar with water stations, EMT stations and emergency exits. Lawn and camping chairs, and blankets are allowed. Audio recording for personal use only is permitted.

7. What NOT to bring? Leave your pet at home – unless you have a service dog this isn’t the place for man’s best friend. While compact and cell phone cameras are permitted, video cameras are not. Frame back packs are not allowed but soft side backpacks are permitted as long as they are no larger than 18.5” x 13” x 8”.  No outside food or water is allowed – you can bring an empty reusable bottle for water.  No umbrellas, shade canopies, tents, metal poles, walkie talkies, coolers, musical instruments, laser pointers are allowed in the festival. Strollers are permitted only if used for transporting children.

8. What is the policy on re-entry/in-outs? Three-day ticket holders for the festival must exchange their ticket for a three-day wristband and will be allowed to re-enter the festival. You must pass through security each time you enter.

9. What type of food vendors and craft vendors will be on site? There is a plethora of choices that will be available for purchase, including local favorites like Tony Boloney’s for pizza and subs to Jonathans Harbor featuring seafood burgers and sausage to vendors selling beer, soda, water, Gatorade and more.
