This Christmas Murder Mystery Dinner serves a Delicious Twist

If the wisdom and whimsy of “A Christmas Carol,” Charles Dickens’ most popular nostalgic tale, doesn’t get you into the holiday spirit like it used to, then perhaps it’s time for a change – a “Ha-Ha” holiday change. Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City offers an invitation to bring the kids to “A Dickens of a Murder” – a hilarious interactive Christmas murder mystery party that includes a tasty family dinner served with dessert and delicious mysteries to be solved.

The intriguing plot of this Christmas murder mystery dinner could be a comedic collaboration created by Dickens and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The story takes place at the annual Christmas party hosted by Fred Sawyer, nephew of Ebenezer Scrooge. The guests are in a joyous mood and mingle while awaiting the arrival of the former miserable, miserly scoundrel now known as their beloved Ebenezer Scrooge – a truly reformed man since his ghostly encounters a year ago. But who’s this? An uninvited guest shows up instead. It’s Sherlock Holmes, and he’s arrived to investigate the recent, untimely death of dear old Uncle Scrooge.

Following a delectable dinner with drinks and dessert, it’s time for this interactive Christmas murder mystery party to begin. Everyone takes part in the game to collect clues, identify suspects and try to guess who really killed Uncle Scrooge. Scripted dialogue and improvisation by “Without a Cue” performers combine with audience participation to create a laugh-out-loud evening of family entertainment.

Reservations are a must, as this Christmas murder mystery dinner is a limited engagement, opening November 23 and ending December 21.
