DO AC Sand Sculpting World Cup

Be prepared to realize just how pitiful your crumbling sand castle really is. A two-week outdoor art exhibit of sorts, the event features the world’s top 20 sand sculptors crafting 3D, gravity-defying masterpieces with only sand and water. Roam the beach by Missouri Avenue, check out the creations, and be wowed. Open 9 am–9 pm daily.
DO AC Fourth of July Fireworks

Atlantic City has always been known for being a little flashy, and on Independence Day, it doesn’t disappoint. One of the top five pyrotechnic shows in the country, the AC Fourth of July Fireworks are synchronized display of music and light. Choreographed to a set list chosen by AC fans earlier this spring (winners included songs by Blake Shelton, Bon Jovi, Katy Perry, Pharrell, and Bruce Springsteen) the show features 10,000 bright explosions, 1,000 of which will be all fired in the 30-second finale. The sky lights up starting at 9:30 pm.
Atlantic City Food & Wine Festival

Atlantic City's acclaimed annual festival of food and wine will showcase several of the world’s greatest culinary influences along with authorities in the 'spirits' industry. Several guest personalities include Robert Irvine, Martha Stewart and Marcus Samuelsson, who will host outdoor events include tastings and demonstrations that will please any palate. Highlights will be a Beach Soiree, a Burger Bash, Clam Bake, the popular Grand Market and the ultimate Blues, Brews & BBQ. Check schedule for event listings and tickets.
Thunder Over the Boardwalk: The Atlantic City Air Show

Don your shades, tilt your head to the heavens, and take in the wonder, majesty, and incredible volume of some of the fastest aircraft in the country. An annual demonstration of aerial aerobatics, the show is visible from almost any part of town, from the Boardwalk to the sand to the waves. And back this year are the Thunderbirds, the show’s annual highlight that were not in attendance in 2013 due to budget restrictions. Show begins at 10 am and lasts until about 4 pm.
Atlantic City Seafood Festival
September 13 & 14, 2014
Head to Bader Field this weekend and come hungry, as this free family festival celebrates all things from the sea. More than 100 restaurants will be serving up delicious seafood treats, cooking demos will help you master your favorites at home, and a chowder cook-off will pit the best against each other. There will also be music, kids programming, and crafts. But wait – there’s more! The festival is being held in conjunction with the Pirates and Privateers Weekend also at Bader Field – a family-friendly look at pirate life. Re-enacters, musicians, kids “cove” activities, and a mock battle will provide high seas entertainment for your crew of buccaneers.
